Remote Working, Performance, Employee engagementAbstrak
Remote working has become an integral part of the modern workplace, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic prompted many organizations to adopt this working model. This topic is important to examine because it concerns how remote working affects employee performance and engagement, two factors critical to organizational success. This research aims to systematically review studies that address the impact of remote working on these two aspects. The method used is a systematic literature review, by reviewing scientific articles published between 2018 and 2024 from several trusted databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. The review showed that the impact of remote working is not uniform-it can be positive or negative-depending on organizational conditions, technological support, and leadership style. If managed well, remote working can actually improve employee engagement and performance.
